# 7/22/26 Library Board Meeting

The Coffee County Library Board met on July 22, 2026. The board approved the May 2026 minutes, the collection development policy, the internet safety policy, and the Tullahoma and Manchester financial reports. Members discussed a possible future revision to the collection development policy to limit or better manage material challenges; proposed wording will be circulated for consideration at a later meeting. The annual library service agreement was presented for signature, with no separate approval vote required. Financial updates included $13,750 in year-to-date encumbrances for Tullahoma and a delayed $2,500 city contribution received in July. Manchester reported about $1,673 remaining at fiscal year-end after placing delayed orders, including book orders following the library’s reopening.

Procurement-related discussion included notice that Ingram’s shipping and processing charges have increased, affecting purchases made with state and federal allocations as well as local funds; staff plan to provide training on allocation purchasing and the changes. No contract awards, bids, or vendor selections were made. The board received updates on the library roof, with no change reported, and on completed security-light replacements and fire-extinguisher servicing. The board also agreed to try second-Wednesday meetings, with schedule adjustments for September and November, and was advised that a bylaw amendment would need to be considered and voted on later.
