# 2026.08.11 - Board of Mayor and Aldermen Meeting Live Stream

The City of Bartlett Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting was held August 11, 2026. The consent agenda included contracts to resurface the Shady Lawn Park pickleball courts and install flooring in the Venue at Bartlett Station banquet hall, plus a change order for the Shady Lawn Park parking-lot project; the board moved to approve the items. The board separately approved a bid for replacement seating at the Bartlett Performing Arts Center (BPAC), voting 4–0 to award it to the lowest qualifying bidder, Grinder Taber Grinder. Three of six submitted bids met the criteria. The estimated cost was about $172,000, compared with an initial expectation of $125,000; staff said savings from the BPAC parking-lot capital project could cover the overage. Delivery and installation were expected to take 10–16 weeks. Staff also described plans to develop a long-term strategic plan for BPAC with University of Memphis support.

The board approved Resolution 30-26, amending Bartlett City Schools’ fiscal year 2027 general-purpose school fund and general fund balance; discussion identified the expense as a football scoreboard, but no amount was stated. It also passed the first reading of an ordinance to align Bartlett’s residential energy conservation code with Tennessee’s state-adopted 2018 standard, with a public hearing set for September 8. A proposed subdivision application was withdrawn so the Planning Commission could review a revised plan. In an infrastructure update, the city engineer reported that FY26 paving was nearly complete, with striping delayed; Traffic Mark was identified as the striping contractor, and staff noted limited availability of paving vendors in the area.
