# Dickson County Commission Meeting 9-21-2026

At the September 21, 2026 regular meeting of the Dickson County Commission, commissioners approved amendments to the county zoning resolution addressing when development plans become vested, traffic-impact-study requirements, permitted uses in the C-1 district, subdivision access points, and dedication of stub-out roads. The amendments also provide that applicants—not the county—will pay for an engineer’s review of a traffic-impact study when requested. Commissioners advanced separate non-residential design standards to the next meeting; the proposed standards apply in specified non-rural areas and set requirements for building orientation, materials, equipment screening, and site plans. The revised public-comment policy and sanitation board’s fourth-quarter financial reports were also approved. No contract awards, vendor selections, or purchasing approvals were identified.

The commission announced that Dickson County received a $3 million FEMA grant for the East Piney Bridge, with the project proceeding through the CDBG grant process; the estimated timeline to reopen the bridge is 18–24 months. The new health department facility had also opened, though no related spending or procurement action was discussed.
