# NASA Awards Momentus Robot Resupply Task Order

On October 22, 2026, NASA awarded Momentus Inc. a task order for the mission-formulation phase of the Fly Foundational Robots (FFR) Resupply mission. Momentus is one of two participants developing mission concepts, operations, technical interfaces, and system design for a mission intended to advance in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM). NASA plans to select one participant for the subsequent implementation and flight phase; the formulation task order’s value and contract number were not disclosed.

- The planned implementation and flight selection creates a potential follow-on opportunity for the two formulation participants and may shape demand for spacecraft operations, orbital transportation, and mission-design capabilities.
- Companies pursuing NASA or ISAM work can use the formulation scope to assess relevant technical capabilities and potential teaming needs; NASA has not disclosed a value or timeline for the follow-on phase.
- Momentus also reports available payload capacity on its Vigoride-9 mission. Organizations interested in a payload slot can contact Momentus at sales@momentusspace.com.
