# 10.19.26 Special Meeting

The Gilmer County Board of Education held a special meeting on October 20, 2026. After public comment about school funding, special education, and the Hope Scholarship program, the board approved the superintendent’s recommendation to expel student E003 for no more than two consecutive semesters. It also approved the drug-free workplace and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing policy, and policy 2952 on the youth basketball program.
