# QUALITY OF LIFE COMMITTEE 10-21-2026

The City of Santa Fe Quality of Life Committee met on October 21, 2026. Members raised concerns about unspent funds and incomplete or delayed outcome reporting, which staff attributed in part to federal litigation, staffing changes, and delays in issuing an RFP. Staff said HUD had confirmed the city has eight years to spend the funds and that the delays would not affect its annual allotment; an interim update was offered. The committee voted unanimously to forward the CAPER to the governing body without recommendation while the public comment period remained open. Staff also said recommendations and a contract to accept the next federal fiscal year’s funds are expected before the governing body in November.
