# Executive Committee Meeting

The Washington County Executive Committee met on October 21, 2026, and approved the 2027 budget reconciliation by motion; the motion carried with no opposition. The reconciliation includes a $276,000 levy increase for the Anti-Crime Plan, $2.3 million in EMS levy alongside $615,000 in sales-tax revenue and $130,000 in general levy for shared services, and a further $278,000 sales-tax revenue adjustment. It also funds a $280,000 additional wage adjustment, including a $38,000 increase to the Sheriff’s uniform allowance, and adjusts library funding to $2.09 million from $2.06 million. The committee also approved a resolution for the state fiscal year 2027 noncompetitive NG911 GIS grant. The grant supports ongoing emergency-response mapping data maintenance; orthophotography was estimated at about $55,000 every two years through the regional partnership, versus roughly $85,000 at list price. Errors & Associates has won the consortium’s photography contract in recent rounds.

The committee reviewed Health and Human Services facility options and expressed support for a new building, but took no formal action on the report. Staff outlined a plan to seek approval for architectural-fee borrowing in November, construction borrowing in early 2027, bidding in April, and contract finalization by June 2027. The construction estimate discussed was about $30 million, with the overall project described as potentially $35–45 million; the proposed building is about 65,000 square feet. The committee also entered a closed-session process to receive an update on litigation involving SEWRPC; the transcript ends before the motion’s outcome is recorded.
