# Rochester Downtown Development Authority Meeting - July 18, 2018

The Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA) held its regular meeting on July 18, 2018. The main procurement-related discussion concerned infrastructure planning in the DDA district. Members reported that $250,000 had been set aside for capital work in the current year, in addition to a prior $250,000 allocation, for a total of about $500,000. The city’s infrastructure committee is developing a system to prioritize projects and coordinate road, sidewalk, alley, water, and sewer work so improvements are not unnecessarily redone. Immediate needs discussed included failing sidewalks and tree-related damage; staff also said they were obtaining quotes for crosswalk and street striping. No contract award or procurement vote was reported, and the schedule for striping was still to be confirmed.

Members also received updates on downtown development and a DDA committee’s work on vendor layouts and preliminary building cost estimates; these were planning activities, not vendor selections or awards. The meeting included reports that prior-year spending was below budget and that water-rate changes had been approved at a July 9 meeting. No specific contract numbers or vendor awards were identified.
