# Clackamas Recovery Campus Good Neighbor Group -October 2026 meeting

The Clackamas Recovery Campus Good Neighbor Group met on October 20, 2026, to review construction progress and discuss a proposed good neighbor agreement. Construction began July 27: demolition of the former school is complete, excavation and footing work is underway for Building 2, and Building 1 has underground utilities and a poured slab, with framing expected to begin the following week. The construction manager reported that more asbestos was found than anticipated, but available funds would cover the additional work; no specific amount was provided. No contract awards, bids, or other procurement decisions or votes were identified.

Participants discussed revisions to the nonlegal agreement between Fora Health and nearby residents, including defining the neighborhood area, setting communication and response expectations, addressing security, lighting, cleanliness and loitering, and clarifying that immediate emergencies should go to 911. The group also discussed outreach to more neighbors, including renters, possible neighborhood meetings, project signage, and a future community tour. The agreement will be revised and circulated for further review; county staff will also consider ways to expand the contact list.
