# Willis ISD Approves Texas Screening Deployment

On October 20, 2026, Willis Independent School District in Texas announced approval of a district-wide deployment of Xtract One Gateways and SmartGateways across its campuses and facilities. Installation is expected within the next few months; the contract value and detailed terms were not disclosed. The award gives K–12 districts and suppliers a concrete reference point for school-safety screening procurement.

- The deployment covers multiple campuses and district facilities; Xtract One View cloud platform support is also identified in the extracted contract details.
- Peer-district references and state school-safety funding may influence similar SLED purchases, though the signal does not confirm the funding source for this award.
- Suppliers can use district board agendas and school-safety funding windows to identify potential procurements, and assess demand for screening systems designed for low-disruption installation.
