# October 20, 2026 Board Meeting

At its October 20, 2026 meeting, the Hartselle City Schools Board of Education reviewed August financials and approved roofing bids for two projects: Standard Roofing Inc. for $144,385 at the central office technology building, and Advanced Roofing Solutions LLC for $151,000 at the Resource Center on the junior high campus. The August report showed $1.7 million in accounts-payable expenditures, including a $668,000 building payment to BCA and $310,000 to Great Southern Recreations for a playground; it also noted a further $58,000 payment to a vendor transcribed as “Wooder.” The district reported revenues at 92% of budget and expenditures at about 88.5%. A $25,000 funding-agreement payment was reported, with a future discussion planned about how the agreement and funds might be structured and used.

The board also approved a recurring agreement with the City of Hartselle for school resource and protection officers, with salaries unchanged, as well as amended volunteer stipends and supplements. It approved surplus of a small playground slide and an out-of-state high-school drama department trip. Other meeting business included recognition of school principals, the cross-country team, and a district technology staff member; no other major procurement decisions were identified.
