# Parks Board Meeting October 20, 2026

The City of Muncie Parks and Recreation Board met on October 20, 2026. The board approved a motion allowing the Storr Woods and West Briar Neighborhood Associations to spend their remaining funds—approximately $2,300 and $3,300, respectively—on landscaping improvements at Storr Park, including river rock, edging, and related work. The associations had obtained a quote from JC Landscaping. Staff also reported that storm cleanup continues and that a contractor quote has been received for repairs to the damaged McCullough Park playground, but funding has not yet been identified. Planned 2027 basketball-court work at Alshire Park and ongoing park projects were discussed without spending approvals.
