# 2026/10/19 - City Council Meeting

The City of Caldwell City Council meeting on October 19, 2026, approved a resolution authorizing Keller Associates Inc. to provide engineering services for the design of a new wastewater-treatment-plant dewatering facility for $4,446,670 (6–0). Staff said the broader project is now estimated at $8.5 million over its first two years, down from an earlier estimate of $11 million, and is expected to reduce biosolids hauling by about 70% while enabling production of Class A biosolids. The council also approved conveyance of 1.48 acres at Eustick Park to the Canyon County Ambulance District for $836,407, supporting a planned ambulance station near a city fire station. Routine accounts payable of $4,295,828.69 and payroll/electronic payments of $937,856.97 were approved.

Other procurement- and spending-related discussion included the historic preservation plan, funded by a $10,000 state grant, a $10,000 developer donation, and $5,000 from the city’s general fund; the council adopted the plan. Council members discussed the previously approved Axon license-plate-reader cameras and their costs, but took no new action on that contract at this meeting. The council approved an ordinance establishing a process for council members to request agenda items and discussed a draft e-bike ordinance, which will receive further review before possible future action. No other contract awards or purchasing decisions were identified.
