# Airport Policy Advisory Committee Meeting Recording - October 15, 2026

The City of Pueblo Airport Policy Advisory Committee met on October 15, 2026, to review draft airport minimum standards and rules. The main discussion concerned aircraft maintenance and fire-safety requirements in leased hangars, including engine repairs, painting and doping, hot work, and fuel handling. The committee discussed clarifying the applicable fire-code provisions, how code references would be made accessible, and distinguishing owners’ self-service maintenance from permitted commercial work. Members also considered edits to clarify that qualifying work may take place in facilities meeting applicable code and to preserve aircraft owners’ self-service rights; these draft changes were discussed but not formally adopted during the meeting.

The committee also reviewed inconsistencies in requirements for flying clubs and discussed aligning local language with FAA Order 5190.6C, as well as possible updates to the flight-instruction permit language and committee procedures. The October 7 minutes were accepted. No contract awards, bids, vendor selections, budget allocations, or other procurement activity were identified; the meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn.
