The Richland One Instruction and Accountability Committee met on October 19, 2026, to review the district’s 2025–2026 academic data. Staff reported six schools rated excellent, nine good, 23 average, and eight below average, with no unsatisfactory schools for a second consecutive year. The district’s graduation rate reached a record 86.8%, and its college- and career-readiness rate reached a record 76.9%. Presenters also reviewed assessment results across grades 3–8 and high-school end-of-course tests, noting gains in several areas alongside persistent gaps with state results. They described expanded opportunities for students to take the Seal of Biliteracy test and discussed future-ready academies that may incorporate career and technical education and dual-enrollment courses.

Committee members asked about college- and career-readiness measures and school ratings, and thanked staff for the presentation. No contract awards, purchasing decisions, budget allocations, procurement-related motions, or spending actions were identified.
