# Belton Park Board Meeting - October 19, 2026 - 6pm

The City of Belton Park Board’s regular meeting on October 19, 2026, included discussion of several upcoming facility procurements. Staff reported that approximately $200,000 in savings from Dryden design fees could be redirected to replaster the 17-year-old indoor lap pool; the work is expected to be put out for bid, with a target schedule of mid-to-late February. Staff also plans to seek bids for an estimated $100,000–$125,000 upgrade to High Blue’s HVAC controls, potentially using unbudgeted grant revenue and other unused capital funds. The High Blue parking lot project is being deferred to next year. These were presented as plans, not approved contract awards.

The City Manager described changes to employee health-benefit options following a review of claims, plan design, and bids from other companies: the EPO option will be discontinued, and four plans will be offered, including narrower-network options. The city’s current provider is Aetna. Other updates included ongoing Markey Park playground construction and pickleball lighting work being completed in-house. The board approved the September 21 minutes; no procurement-related votes or contract awards were recorded.
