The LaSalle County Insurance Trust Board of Trustees met on October 15, 2026. The board reviewed financial and claims reports: workers’ compensation incurred amounts rose $51,725 month over month due to reserve increases, with no new claims in September; property and casualty incurred amounts fell $75,651 following the resolution of a 2023–24 claim and a reduced reserve. The board also heard updates on employee safety training and programs, including de-escalation training, flu shots, and work to improve the “find it, fix it” reporting system.

Insurance renewal quotes are beginning to arrive. The options have not yet been vetted, and the trust’s representatives plan to review them over the next few weeks; the preliminary outlook was described as within budget. The budget had included an estimated 6% renewal increase, and Travelers completed a comprehensive risk survey. No vendor selection, contract award, or renewal approval occurred. The board voted to accept and place the reports on file and approved a motion to enter executive session to discuss claims, reserves, potential litigation, and collective bargaining matters.
