# Preservation Commission 3/20/2024

The City of Sacramento Preservation Commission met on March 20, 2024. Commissioners approved the prior meeting minutes by motion; the chair abstained because they had not attended that meeting. The item was for review and comment; no grant application, award, amount, or other procurement action was approved.

The commission also discussed proposed objective design standards for accessory dwelling units on historic properties, including potential requirements for siding, windows, roofs, mechanical equipment, and other design details. Staff described plans for research and community outreach, with a future commission review and possible City Council consideration; no standards were adopted at this meeting. Parks staff presented the Parks Plan 2040 public draft and its priorities for future parks and recreation investments, inviting public comments through April 8, 2024.
