# Mentor Planning Commission Meeting October 15, 2026

The City of Mentor, Ohio Planning Commission met on October 15, 2026. The commission approved the September 24 meeting minutes and considered several land-use applications: a restaurant at 7828 Reynolds Road, a children’s therapy clinic at 8836 Tyler Boulevard, commercial facade updates at 7470 and 7480 Manor Avenue, transfer of a hair salon conditional use permit at 8615 Tyler Boulevard, and a minor subdivision at 8820 and 8878 East Avenue. The applications were approved with conditions. Discussion included shared parking, building egress, facade canopies and future tenant changes, and building-code requirements for a firewall and zero-lot-line conditions on the subdivision.

The commission unanimously recommended the October 2026 comprehensive land-use plan update to City Council, including discussion of possible future zoning-code updates for Old Village and potential reuse of school properties if schools close. It also approved the 2027 meeting schedule. No procurement activity, contract awards, vendor selections, or spending approvals were identified.
