# USDA Funds Nebraska Rural Projects

USDA Rural Development announced nearly $25 billion in nationwide rural investments for fiscal year 2026, including more than $172 million in Nebraska loans and grants. Nebraska funding supports healthcare facilities, water infrastructure, value-added agriculture, and housing; the announced awards and completed financing include $75.7 million for a hospital campus expansion with a new clinic and expanded cancer center. These are funded projects, not open solicitations, so contractors should view them as potential implementation or subcontracting opportunities rather than active bids.

- The funding spans several potential delivery markets, including healthcare construction, water infrastructure, housing, and agricultural business development.
- Contractors and suppliers can use the announced project areas to identify likely needs for construction, equipment, and related services, while confirming procurement routes directly with the funded organizations or local entities.
- Because the signal does not identify open solicitations or proposal deadlines, it does not present an immediate bid opportunity.
