# North Carolina Opens SBIR Grants

North Carolina has opened the FY2027 One North Carolina Small Business Program, making $2.13 million available to technology-based small businesses pursuing or holding federal Phase I SBIR/STTR awards. The program includes $210,000 in application-preparation incentive grants and $1.92 million in post-award matching grants. Applications are accepted through June 30, 2027, or until funds are exhausted.

- Companies preparing a federal Phase I SBIR/STTR application can evaluate eligibility for reimbursement through the incentive-grant portion; firms that have secured a Phase I award can assess the matching-grant opportunity.
- North Carolina small businesses should review the program requirements and submit applications early, since funding may be exhausted before the June 30, 2027 deadline.
