# Issaquah Environmental Board - October 14, 2026

The City of Issaquah Environmental Board met on October 14, 2026. Public Works staff presented proposed updates to the city’s stormwater design manual, including adoption of Washington Ecology’s 2024 Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington and revisions to Issaquah’s local addendum. Staff described feedback themes focused on permitting consistency, regulatory clarity, and programmatic clarity, along with technical topics such as redevelopment thresholds, stormwater treatment, and best management practices. Board members generally supported the option to adopt the updated manuals while also pursuing improvements under those themes; this was board direction rather than a formal recorded vote. Staff plan to present the feedback to the Planning, Development and Environment Committee in December, return to the board with draft code, conduct SEPA review, and ultimately bring the changes to council for adoption by June 30, 2027. Members also discussed how climate-action-plan priorities relate to the manual update, including future flows, localized rainfall data, and 6PPD tire-related pollution.

The board also reviewed the process for its annual report and self-assessment, which will be drafted and considered at upcoming meetings before being submitted to the mayor and council by year-end. Staff noted that city budget deliberations were underway and an approved budget was expected in November, but no amounts or procurement decisions were discussed. No contracts, vendor selections, bids, or other procurement activity were identified.
