# Navy and DoD Award Anduril Contracts

Anduril Industries secured two major U.S. defense awards: a U.S. Navy shipyard contract worth up to $2.9 billion, announced October 6, 2026, and a multi-year Department of Defense contract worth up to $20 billion, awarded in March 2026. These are awarded contracts, not open solicitations. For contractors, the immediate relevance is potential follow-on and subcontracting work; the reported scrutiny of executive participation in defense-policy initiatives and Anduril’s emphasis on human responsibility for use-of-force decisions also provide context for firms assessing the defense market.

- The Navy and DoD awards represent significant work for Anduril, but the signals provide no contract numbers or details on specific subcontracting packages.
- Contractors interested in supporting the work should assess relevant follow-on and subcontracting opportunities rather than treat these awards as open competitions.
- Brian Schimpf said the awards resulted from competitive evaluation; companies pursuing similar defense work should account for the competitive procurement process described in the signal.

### Key Quotes
> The reality is that the [Department of Defense] has just an incredibly structured process for how they evaluate all these incoming bids. So everything goes through these very competitive processes, and we win based on the merits.
