# Springfield City Council ┃License Commission 10/14/26

The Springfield City License Commission met on October 14, 2026. Commissioners approved the September 23 hearing minutes, with one commissioner abstaining because they were not present. The commission then approved three motor-vehicle business license petitions: a Class 2 license for Titan Automotive Group, doing business as New Look Auto Sales, at 482 Main Street; Class 2 and Class 3 licenses for R2D Auto Group LLC, doing business as R2-D Motors, at 824 Berkshire Avenue; and a Class 2 license for Norat Realy, doing business as Mr. Tent of New England, at 879 Boston Road. Each petition received a second and approval votes from the participating commissioners.

After the applications, commissioners discussed whether to strengthen the motor-vehicle licensing application by asking applicants about prior licenses and licensing issues, and to keep a record of people with past problems. The discussion followed a concern that the current application and records may not reveal relevant history; staff said they could review possible changes, but no application revision or other procurement action was approved. No procurement activity was identified.
