# Army Awards Shift5 $99M NGC2 Contract

On October 14, 2026, the U.S. Army selected Shift5 for a five-year, $99 million contract supporting its Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) initiative. Shift5’s platform extracts operational data from weapon systems to provide soldier alerts and commander readiness insights, and will integrate with Anduril Industries’ Lattice software. The award moves Shift5’s technology beyond prototyping and into the program, signaling Army demand for near-real-time fleet readiness information and sustainment analytics. The signals provide no contract number, solicitation details, or procurement contact.

- **Why this matters:** The award creates an opportunity for contractors with capabilities in interoperable operational data, analytics, cybersecurity, and sustainment to support Army readiness efforts.
- The integration of Shift5’s platform with Anduril’s Lattice software highlights the importance of systems interoperability in NGC2-related work.
- Companies pursuing related work can assess how their data integration, edge-alert, analytics, and sustainment capabilities align with the Army’s stated operational needs.
