# September 8, 2026 Work Session

Spring ISD Board of Trustees work session, September 8, 2026. The board discussed several proposed education-service agreements and purchases, but no procurement-related votes were taken during the session. A proposed one-year agreement with Imagine Learning for virtual instruction, estimated at $205,000, was pulled from the consent agenda for further review; trustees requested a cost breakdown and additional information on outcomes and program costs. A proposed furniture purchase for the Education Performance and Instructional Center was presented as a cooperative purchase under $1 million, based on three quotes; the selected vendor’s complete package was the only fully responsive proposal, and staff were asked to provide the cooperative and vendor details. The board also discussed a proposed utilities agreement for the new Spring High School, identified as a South Point gas agreement, without a stated amount.

Other proposed or funding-related items included a one-year Community in Schools of Houston agreement to provide support services at Bailey Middle School and Ponderosa Elementary, serving up to about 1,300 students and helping meet eligibility requirements for additional state funding; and a TEA-funded teacher leadership program with $48,000 in stipends for six positions during 2026–27, supported by a $260,000 grant. Trustees discussed planning for the stipends’ continuation after the grant ends. The Spring High School logo item was deferred for broader community input, with a survey planned for consideration next month. The session’s post-closed-session votes concerned security and personnel matters, not procurement.
