# Natrona County Board of County Commissioners Work Session - October 14, 2026

The Natrona County Board of County Commissioners’ October 14, 2026 work session reviewed preliminary allocations of one-cent sales tax revenue for county projects. Commissioners discussed reducing requests to fit projected revenue averaging about $3.59 million annually over four years. The working allocation total was approximately $14.14 million, leaving about $200,000–$230,000 as a reserve; the clerk noted that project dollar amounts would need to be designated for the upcoming resolution, while the four-year spending schedule could be set later. No formal vote was taken during the discussion.

The board tentatively retained funding for the sheriff’s equipment and vehicle-replacement requests, including a patrol boat for Pathfinder Reservoir, and discussed funding road and bridge projects at about $3.38 million. The airport road allocation was reduced by $250,000, to about $1.95 million. Fairgrounds priorities included arena and industrial-building roof work, arena air conditioning, and barn stalls; parks’ request was reduced to $515,000, including a smaller archery-range allocation. Other items included $990,000 for facilities and maintenance, $100,000 for public health equipment, and $150,000 for cleanup days. Commissioners also discussed pursuing grants or other funding for some projects. Separately, a commissioner raised changing how county vehicles are fueled and asked the sheriff to consider a fuel-card or bidding approach for later discussion; no purchasing decision was made.
