# CRRMA 10/14/2026

The Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority (CRRMA) Board met on October 14, 2026. The Board approved awarding the Fabens County Airport preparation-work project for future T-hangars to Dan Williams Company as the lowest responsible bidder. The rebid scope includes an apron, safety improvements, lighting, parking, and taxiway work; the county will fund the project. The engineer’s estimate was approximately $3.3 million, and staff reported bids came in substantially lower, but no award amount was stated. The Board also authorized related contract amendments for Huitt-Zollars to provide design services during construction and AtkinsRéalis USA, Inc. to provide construction engineering and inspection services. Separately, the Board approved an interlocal agreement with the Village of Vinton for an active transportation plan, with design and oversight work authorizations to be negotiated later.

The Board adopted an amended CRRMA procurement policy raising its limit for purchases without competitive bidding from $50,000 to $100,000, aligning with a recent statutory increase and giving the agency more purchasing flexibility. Staff also reported an already-executed change order of just over $11,000 for electrical services on the County Roadway Safety Program; this was presented for information, not a new vote. Other updates included success in securing federal grant funding for a rail-grade separation project, with TxDOT expected to manage design and construction, and progress on the fiscal-year audit.
