# New Mexico Funds Innovation Hubs

New Mexico’s Economic Development Department launched its Innovation Hubs Grant in 2025 and identified 2026 awards supporting shared facilities such as laboratories, offices, prototyping space, and computing infrastructure. Separately, the state’s Technology and Innovation Office is accepting applications for a Program Year 2027 Quantum Hub Continuation Award to sustain quantum-focused infrastructure and programming. These grants may generate downstream demand for construction, laboratory outfitting, prototyping equipment, and high-performance computing, but the supplied materials provide no award amounts or specific procurement terms. The next Innovation Hubs Grant application period has not been announced, and no deadline is stated for the Quantum Hub Continuation Award.

- The 2026 awardee plans include New Mexico Venture Studios’ Albuquerque warehouse conversion into wet-lab, dry-lab, and office space, and New Mexico Innovation Hub’s renovation of Benildus Hall into an innovation campus with prototyping, computing, laboratory, office, and event space.
- Suppliers and contractors can use these facility plans to assess potential downstream work in construction, lab fit-out, equipment, and computing; the signals do not identify open solicitations or guarantee contract awards.
- Organizations interested in the Quantum Hub Continuation Award should consult the grant manual and application materials for eligibility, award details, and application timing, which are not specified in the supplied page.
