# YUHSD Governing Board Meeting October 2026

The Yuma Union High School District (YUHSD) Governing Board’s regular meeting was held October 15, 2026. The finance update reported a revised maintenance and operations budget of $102,872,922 and a capital budget of $16,074,234; expenditures through the end of September were approximately $16.85 million for M&O and $1.19 million for capital. The board unanimously ratified the annual financial report. It also unanimously accepted listed donations totaling $93,477.41 for the month and $254,036.17 year to date, including funds and supplies for school programs, athletics, and classrooms. No competitive bids, RFPs, or vendor contract awards were presented.

The board unanimously approved the revised 2026–27 employee compensation packet, an amendment to an intergovernmental agreement with Southwood Technical Education District, an IGA with the City of Yuma for Desert Hills Golf Club, a deed of dedication in San Luis, and a personnel action. Board members discussed conference attendance and reported annual board-training spending of about $7,100; no change to current practice was approved. After discussion of employee work locations during school closures, the board voted 4–1 to direct staff to gather information and arrange a study session. The board also unanimously approved proclamations for School Bus Safety Week and National School Lunch Week.
