# Kettering City Council Meeting of October 13, 2026

At its October 13, 2026 regular meeting, the Kettering City Council approved several infrastructure and funding actions. It authorized applications for federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act funding through the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission for roadway work, a bicycle connector, and reconstruction of five traffic signals; no local amount was budgeted, and construction would not begin until 2032 if funding is awarded. Council also approved a resolution for curb, sidewalk, and driveway-approach repairs associated with the 2027 Southern Boulevard resurfacing project, with affected property owners to be notified of estimated assessments. A $17,000 Ohio Department of Public Safety OVI Task Force grant was approved for the Police Department’s 2026–27 grant period.

Council approved an additional $118,100.70 for the Wilmington Heights Shopping Center nuisance-abatement project, extending architectural and related support for demolition design, hazardous-material analysis, and environmental oversight. It also approved $490,744.60 in net supplemental appropriations, including $100,000 for a street-maintenance snow-and-ice removal contract renewal and $26,000 for a similar renewal in the business-park fund, both covering November 2026 through April 2027; the package also included the remaining $273,244.60 of the city’s 2026 Community Development Block Grant allocation and other operating needs. The listed resolutions and appropriations were approved by council; no vendor selection or new competitive bid award was identified.
