# Redevelopment Authority 09/17/2025

The City of Eau Claire Redevelopment Authority meeting on September 17, 2025, approved the August 31 budget and actuals report and approved transferring parcel 02-0238 at 203 Dodie Street to the City by quitclaim deed to secure public access through Gibson Street. The transcript’s bond-cost figure is garbled. The board also discussed clearing a former park site ahead of redevelopment. Staff cited approximately $150,000 in unexpended RDA funds and proposed soliciting demolition bids and returning them to the board for consideration; no demolition contract or spending authorization was approved. Staff will check whether the ballfield backstop is still on site and could be included in the work.

The board reviewed proposed boundaries and concepts for housing/selective-redevelopment and Uptown redevelopment districts, including possible affordable-housing infill and a potential partnership with the Housing Authority. Members supported further development of the concepts but sought clearer objectives, benchmarks, scope, and financial implications before a final direction; staff plans to bring refined materials for review in October, with November as a possible follow-up and a goal of council consideration by year-end. Staff also reported progress on the P&R Properties project and interest in a separate Heights site proposal, but no award or purchasing decision was made on those projects.
