# Plan Commission 7/14/2025

The City of Eau Claire Plan Commission met on July 14, 2025. The consent agenda, including prior meeting minutes, a final condominium plat, and a Housing Authority site approval, passed 5–0. The commission approved a conditional use permit to convert an existing triplex to a fourplex, subject to existing conditions concerning exterior changes, site screening, and bedroom counts. It also approved a home-occupation permit for a woodworking business 6–0 with a 12-month limit; a proposed requirement to keep the garage door closed while machinery was operating was not adopted. A large-garage expansion was approved 7–0 with a condition that the shed be reduced to less than 200 square feet before the building permit is issued.

The commission also approved 7–0 a master sign plan for a commercial flex-warehouse development, including larger internally illuminated building address signs, and a Mayo Clinic site plan for a 24-space parking lot intended to replace parking displaced by loading-dock work. The Mayo plan allows an alternative shrub-screening design, subject to a revised plan and staff review. No contract awards, vendor selections, procurement actions, or spending allocations were identified.
