# Park Committee Meeting

The Waupaca County Park Committee met on October 7, 2026, and approved several fee increases intended to support park operations and maintenance. For 2027 boat-launch annual passes, the committee voted to raise the rates from $25 to $30 for county residents and from $30 to $40 for nonresidents. It also approved increasing the pavilion rental rate from $500 to $700 and the table rental charge from $1 to $2 per table; the chair charge remains unchanged. Storage rates were approved to increase from $10 to $15 per square foot. Staff reported launch-fee revenue of about $72,000 against a $61,550 budget, with further revenue expected. The committee chose not to make additional fee changes at this time and favored gathering another season of data on launch payments and enforcement.

The committee received an update on flood-related FEMA work, including dam repairs estimated to involve roughly $200,000 in damage and a request for FEMA mitigation support for a DNR-required 36-inch lake-drain pipe. Staff is also developing an alternative project for the damaged boat launch, potentially including river access and paving; Yankee Contractors was contacted for an estimate, but no contract award or purchasing approval was reported. Storage operations were underway with strong demand and a waiting list. No other procurement awards were identified.
