# School Board Meeting - September 14, 2026

The OCFSD Board meeting on September 14, 2026, included approval of a consent agenda and a motion to create one 5.5-hour and one 7-hour special education aide position; the motion passed. The board also reviewed the 2025–26 year-end financial results, which showed a roughly $2.2 million favorable variance, including about $700,000 in interest revenue above budget. Staff described carrying some unspent site funds into Fund 46 to support planned capital needs rather than encouraging year-end spending. Food service ended with a positive variance intended to help fund future equipment replacement, and two vehicles were purchased for driver’s education. A recreation-field project was described as costing about $200,000, with possible future improvements at middle-school sites to be funded from Fund 80.

The board received parent and staff survey results from School Perceptions; no related contract or purchasing decision was reported. Upcoming agenda items include consideration of a second amendment to T-Mobile’s lease for a monopole on the high school campus and health benefits for 7-hour aides effective January 1, 2027. The board also expects to consider calling an October 5 electorate meeting to seek authority to lease district property; that approval had not yet occurred at this meeting. No RFP or bid award was identified.
