# Parker School Building Committee: October 7, 2026

At its October 7, 2026 meeting, the Parker School Building Committee reviewed project finances and approved the September 2026 invoice package, No. 17, totaling $82,471.13. The invoices included Leftfield OPM services ($20,859) and AI3 schematic design services ($61,612.13). The committee also reviewed the schematic-design estimate and project budget: approximately $258.5 million including the feasibility study, with a proposed town-meeting debt-exclusion amount of approximately $256.7 million. The presentation estimated an MSBA contribution of about $111.2 million and, after anticipated rebates, a town share of about $138.1 million; the financing plan anticipates borrowing approximately $138.5 million. The committee approved the project budget and authorized submission of the schematic design package to the MSBA; the submission does not itself commit the town to fund the project, which would require later town meeting and ballot actions.

The project remains on schedule for an MSBA submission on October 21, with potential building occupancy in fall or winter 2030. The committee was informed that the RFQ for construction manager-at-risk services had been made publicly available, and seven firms had already expressed interest or requested the RFQ. Community forums were scheduled for November 12 and December 9. No CM-at-risk selection or award was reported at this meeting.
