# Williamson County Board of Commissioners Meeting - October 12, 2026

At its October 12, 2026 meeting, the Williamson County Board of Commissioners approved a $3,367,130 school-fund budget amendment to purchase 19 replacement buses—15 general-education and four special-education buses. Commissioners also approved, 22–0, bond resolutions authorizing up to $25.5 million in school bonds and $31.3 million in general-obligation public-improvement and school bonds for previously approved projects. The finance director reported that a $13 million school tax-anticipation note had already been issued. A separate $65,000 appropriation for replacement computers in the County Clerk’s office was approved.

The commission deferred until November, by a 17–5 vote, a proposed lease agreement with Vogue Tower Partners 7 LLC for a communications tower near Chapel Road West, pending commissioners’ review of the lease terms. The county described an estimated annual lease cost of $54,000, which could decline as other tenants join, and compared it with an estimated $1.2 million cost to build a county-owned tower. The commission also approved an amended interlocal agreement for a full-time fire instructor serving Thompson Station, with a stated amended total of about $92,927. Other approved items included accepting donated Motorola radio equipment and surplus property. No vendor selection or competitive bid approval was identified.
