# MOUNT VERNON BOARD OF EDUCATION WORK SESSION OCTOBER 13 2026

The October 13, 2026 Mount Vernon City School District Board of Education work session included presentations on pre-K student outcomes and the district’s 2025–26 academic and financial plans. The board also approved first readings of revised internal-audit and audit-committee policies, which allow use of district personnel, shared services, BOCES, or independent contractors for internal audit functions; these were policy actions, not contract awards.
