# City Commission Workshop Meeting 10-13-2026 3:30 PM

The City of Delray Beach Commission held a workshop on October 13, 2026, covering FY 2026–27 budget alignment with Vision 2035 and a presentation on the fiscal impacts of land use and development. The budget overview cited capital improvement funding for street and infrastructure improvements, tree planting, reef planting, dune management, beach nourishment, and pavement preservation, as well as free transportation, workforce housing assistance, and additional Development Services positions. The city also continues work with a marketing consultant and has a lobbying agreement supporting Vision 2035 priorities; no contract amounts, awards, vendor selections, or procurement votes were reported.

Urban3, engaged by Development Services for consultancy services, presented analysis of property-tax productivity, land use, and infrastructure costs. Commissioners discussed using the findings to inform future development and mixed-use decisions and asked for a longer-term, three- to five-year plan linking goals to annual budget allocations. Staff proposed contacting Orange County to learn about its infrastructure-cost model, with the commission’s support. No spending or procurement action was approved at the workshop.
