# New York Seeks Clean Energy Accelerator Administrators

New York State, through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), opened the first competitive funding round under a clean-energy commercialization initiative valued at more than $37 million. The current round offers up to $20 million to select two accelerator administrators: up to $8.4 million for pre-seed support and up to $11.6 million for Series A-B commercialization. Proposals are due December 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. ET; applicants must be based in New York and provide at least 20% non-NYSERDA cost share.

- Eligible organizations should assess their ability to administer the accelerator track that best fits their capabilities and document the required cost share. Proposals are due in **49 days**.
- The two tracks target early product development and later-stage commercialization, including go-to-market strategies and first commercial pilot projects. Startup applications to the accelerators are expected to open in early 2027.
- The opportunity creates potential roles for New York-based clean-energy commercialization organizations and may support startup development and local supply chains.
