# Planning Commission Meeting  10.13.2026

The City of Hernando, Mississippi Planning Commission meeting on October 13, 2026, considered several land-use applications. The Commission approved an amended parking variance for the Walmart Wing drone operation site at 2600 McIngvale Road, allowing a slatted-board fence and specified landscape islands in place of the previously required landscape buffer. It also approved a variance waiving specified parking-lot landscape islands for a proposed Panda Express, and a variance allowing the proposed buildings to sit farther from the required build-to lines at McIngvale Road and Monteith Avenue. Each item passed by unanimous vote of those voting; the Panda Express plans will still require engineering review as part of the site-plan process.

The Commission approved the two-lot final plat for Puppy Place, subject to conditions, and unanimously recommended that the Board of Aldermen approve an amendment to the Delta Landing planned development. The Delta Landing amendment would remove the hotel use and add 59 loft units and mixed-use development, including additional retail space, while making other adjustments to the plan. No contracts, vendor selections, public spending allocations, or other procurement activity were identified.
