# City Council Meeting 10/13/2026

At its October 13, 2026 regular meeting, the San Ramon City Council approved a 10-year agreement with Axon Enterprise for police technology, equipment, software, and services, running from November 2026 through November 2035. The contract is $3,986,532.20, with a 5% contingency of $195,000, for an overall potential cost of about $4.18 million; the contingency would be spent only if needed. Staff cited bundled pricing and the long-term commitment as producing more than $2.275 million in savings compared with separate agreements. The agreement covers tasers, body-worn and in-car cameras, interview-room cameras, and digital evidence services. The council also adopted a resolution supporting up to $45 million in CMFA tax-exempt bonds for the Bella Village affordable-apartment project; the bonds are the borrower’s responsibility, with no city repayment or financial liability. The city’s share of issuance fees was estimated at roughly $16,000. The council unanimously adopted the updated Bicycle Master Plan, which establishes a phased approach to bicycle infrastructure but did not approve a specific construction budget or contract. The consent calendar was also approved unanimously, with no item pulled.

A County Connection presentation reported a $6.5 million operating deficit and warned that, absent new revenue, service reductions could be implemented by the end of FY2028, including elimination of San Ramon express routes 92X, 95X, and 97X and reduced frequency on other routes. No service-cut decision was taken. The meeting also included a domestic-violence awareness proclamation and discussion of possible future park shade improvements; no funding or procurement action on those matters was approved.
