# City Council Meeting 10/13/2026

The City of South Fulton City Council work session and regular meeting was held October 13, 2026. The council approved, by unanimous consent, amendments to on-call mechanical-services agreements with Max Air Mechanical LLC, BMW Mechanical, and a third vendor transcribed as “Dayin Day applied.” Each agreement has a ceiling of $1 million, for a combined potential capacity of $3 million; the amendments extend them for one year and add options for two further one-year renewals. Work will be assigned by task order as needed at city facilities, and the ceiling is not a guaranteed spend. A resident also questioned expenditures and service under the city’s BrightView contract; no related action was reported. The city manager announced that a deputy director of procurement had joined the city’s team.

Staff presented results from an express-permitting pilot: 41 of 56 applications met issuance criteria, and the pilot is scheduled to conclude November 4. The city is targeting full implementation in early January following the anticipated late-November Tyler EPNL rollout, and staff said they will review permitting requirements and fees. The council also heard land-use cases with development implications, including a request for 52 townhomes and a proposed Circle K gas station; both were scheduled for council consideration on October 27, with no final vote taken at this meeting. Other updates included municipal court building design and exploration of centralized city warehousing, without procurement decisions reported on those items.
