# Community and Economic Development Committee for 10/12/2026

The City of Troy Community and Economic Development Committee met on October 12, 2026, to consider two subdivision plats and the proposed Unified Development Code (UDC). The committee unanimously moved forward the final plat for Fox Harbor Subdivision Section 12, approximately 7.4 acres, including dedication of about 1.3 acres of right-of-way for Newcastle Drive and Angela Circle. It also advanced a second subdivision proposal near Lidle and Dorset roads, which includes approximately 2.5 acres of public street right-of-way and HOA-maintained private open space. No contract awards, vendor selections, or purchasing decisions were identified.

The committee recommended adoption of Ordinance 039-2026, the UDC, with the word “morals” removed from its purpose language, subject to the law director’s agreement. Members discussed data-center standards, including noise, water quality, and power generation; neighborhood-park options; application deadlines; and restrictions on tobacco, cigarette, and vape stores. The committee requested a count of existing such stores so it can consider a cap or related legislation. The UDC consolidates subdivision, zoning, sign, and fence regulations and establishes new districts; it may affect future development but does not itself authorize procurement.
