# Florida DOC Reviews Correctional Contracting Rules

Florida’s Department of Corrections (FDC) 2026–2027 Regulatory Plan identifies a review of Florida Administrative Code Rule 33-205.101, which governs requests for proposals, contracts, construction, and operation of private correctional facilities. The plan also identifies a review of community-corrections contract-compliance and funding rules for FY 2027–2028. These are planned rule reviews, not new procurement appropriations, an agency-wide contracting mandate, or announced solicitations.

- Private correctional-facility contractors should assess how Rule 33-205.101 applies to their current proposals and contracts and follow any resulting rulemaking.
- Community-corrections providers should account for the planned review of Rule 33-504.303 when evaluating contract-compliance and funding provisions; the plan does not specify changed requirements or a submission deadline.
- The extracted plan also identifies a FY 2029–2030 review of Rule 33-602.232, governing contractor, vendor, and volunteer access to correctional institutions.
