# Facilities Committee: October 8, 2026

The Council Rock School District Board of School Directors Facilities Committee met October 8, 2026, and reviewed construction documents and budget updates for the Chancellor Center renovation. The project was reported at approximately 90–95% design completion, with the estimated total budget reduced from $18.1 million to $17.4 million. Planned work includes groundwater and foundation drainage improvements, slab replacement, mechanical and security upgrades, and a new audio-visual system. The committee heard that bids are expected to be reviewed in December, with board authorization anticipated that month; a generator/automatic transfer switch purchase using a cooperative purchasing contract is also expected to be brought forward. No final award or vote on the renovation was reported at this meeting.

The committee also reviewed a recommended award for storm-water piping inspection and site locating at Council Rock High School North: Blood Hound Underground Utility Locators quoted $18,478, compared with Trinity Subsurface at $22,450, and staff recommended Blood Hound, with work expected after October board consideration. Other purchasing and maintenance items included an $18,516.51 deduct change order; a five-year Johnson Controls fire-suppression inspection agreement totaling $7,082.39; and preventative HVAC maintenance agreements for Hillcrest, Goodno, and Richboro Elementary Schools. The transcript does not report final votes on these items. Pool-liner repairs at High School North were reported complete, and the committee received updates on upcoming summer 2027 projects and other planned construction-document presentations.
