# Florida National Guard Tests UAS Interoperability

The Florida National Guard completed Drone Crucible 26.3 at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, testing unmanned aircraft and command-and-control data sharing across units and with U.S. Northern Command and Joint Task Force–National Capital Region. The exercise was not a solicitation, but it demonstrates operational interest in interoperable UAS, situational-awareness, video, and data-integration capabilities. The broader market context includes the **$1.1 billion** Drone Dominance Program and a **$32 million** drone solicitation launched in July 2026; an industry engagement opportunity is the Defense R&D Summit scheduled for February 4, 2027.

- Companies offering interoperable UAS, command-and-control, situational-awareness, video, and data-integration capabilities can use the exercise as an indicator of relevant operational needs, not as evidence of a specific award or open solicitation.
- The Drone Dominance Program aims to field more than 200,000 drones by 2027. The associated $32 million solicitation covers reusable bomber and dropper drones and was launched in July 2026; no submission deadline or current solicitation status is provided in the signal.
- Industry stakeholders can consider the February 4, 2027 Defense R&D Summit as an identified forum for engagement on defense research and development.
