# 2026-09-15 JCDA Meeting

The Jefferson County Development Authority’s regular monthly meeting was held September 15, 2026. The board approved the FY2026 year-end financial statements as presented. The treasurer reported about $1 million in liquidity, ongoing grant reimbursements, an $842,859 liability for accrued interest owed to the West Virginia Economic Development Authority, and a need to resolve that liability. The accountant reported a $50,300 feasibility-study expense, a $77,000 gain from lot sales, and $34,000 in interest income. The board also discussed Lot 36 disposition options, possible business-park development, and the use of grant funding, including funds repaid to the county that must be spent by December or will expire.

On website hosting, staff presented a $625 renewal invoice for the Grow Jefferson County site. The board passed a motion not to renew with the current host and directed staff to explore alternatives for maintaining or consolidating the domains and site content. No new vendor award was made. Staff reported that a draft public-private partnership agreement for the Summit Point water project is being prepared by legal counsel; fees had accrued but none had been paid, and the board may decide how to proceed after reviewing the draft. Jefferson Orchard site-development grant work remains under review, with no action taken on a contract or award.
