# Active Transportation Commission 4/20/2023

At its April 20, 2023 meeting, the City of Sacramento Active Transportation Commission received updates on transportation construction and funding. Staff reported that construction had begun on segments of the Central City Mobility Plan and the Del Rio Trail, with Broadway work moving toward construction. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Sacramento River East Levee Contract 4 will address seepage and stability and require temporary bike-trail closures and detours at several locations. The contract had not yet been awarded because of real-estate matters; staff anticipated award within a few months. Commissioners discussed detour safety, signage, and restoration of affected trails and vegetation; the item was received for discussion, with no vote taken.
