# 10.08.2026 CORC Committee Meeting

The School District of Palm Beach County CORC Committee met on October 8, 2026. The committee approved consent item FC2 without objection. FC1, concerning the historic Roosevelt full-service project, was pulled for discussion; members raised concerns about preservation costs, scope definition, and potential change orders, and urged staff to establish a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) and inform the School Board of the costs and alternatives. Staff also addressed project expenses, including nearly $30,000 for pressure cleaning and a $24,000 increase for signage. PC1 was pulled after a member identified an incorrect notary date; staff agreed to correct it, and the committee then approved sending the item to the Board.

Staff reported that a $0–$7.5 million SEMAR contract solicitation is underway and that a continuing architect contract for regular projects will be rebid to bring in additional vendors. The district is planning roughly $2 billion in facilities work over the next 10 years and is using facility-condition-assessment data—about 90% complete—to plan project packaging and procurement. Staff said Roosevelt’s Phase 2 is in design, with contracts anticipated around the start of the new year. They also discussed implementing project-management software to improve documentation, payment processing, and change-order tracking. A proposed one-mill ballot measure was described as funding campus mental-health and safety/security efforts and career and technical education programs.
